The Attendees of this course should include the following parties interested in microfinance.

Senior management of MFIs/Banks

Donors

Private investors

Wholesale funding institutions, including both commercial banks and government funded institutions

Rating Agencies

Regulators.

It is anticipated that only people who have a background in finance and accounting will attend the workshop. Their knowledge base should include:

Basic accounting,
Business planning and forecasting,
Financial analysis,
Use of ratios,
A basic understanding of MIS systems.

Moreover, they should have analytical skills as opposed to purely computational skills. For some MFIs/Banks, this may necessitate sending a team of two staff members.
