| THE REQUIRED
SKILL SETS OF TRAINERS:
In order to be able to comprehensively run
this workshop, the typical Trainer should have the following
skills set.
An undergraduate
degree in finance and/or accounting.
Three years of experience
in financial analysis.
Familiarity with
financial ratios.
Three years of experience
working or training in the microfinance sector.
Three years of training
experience.
THE LENGTH
OF THE WORKSHOP:
The length of the workshop will depend on
the level of financial literacy and sophistication of the
attendees. A reasonable guideline, though, would be 2-3 days,
with the more sophisticated groups taking 2-2.5 days and the
smaller MFIs/ Banks taking up to 3 full days.
The Trainer should decide on the length
of the course before starting and pace his/ her presentation
accordingly.
PREPARATION
OF WORKSHOP MATERIALS AND HANDOUTS:
The Trainers will need to design their own
workshop materials and hand-outs. These should be based on
the composition of the attendees, the level of detail necessary
to match the sophistication of the audience, and the Trainer’s
own training style.
The structure and content of this manual
could be used as a guide for these materials and hand-outs.
