At the conclusion of the workshop, the attendees should know the following:

a). The role of the PESO performance standards.

b). How they assist in the development of the overall microfinance sector.

c). How they can be used as a business tool by each player.

d). How to analyze the financial books and records to obtain the basic data for the calculation of the performance standards.

e). Be able to calculate and interpret the ratios, and have a clear understanding of how they reflect the institution’s overall performance vis a vis other MFI/NGO practitioners.

f). Based on the results of these PESO performance indicators, identify the weaknesses of the institution, and make suggestions/ proposals for recuperative measures.
